A Living Hope
He has given us new birth into a living hope.
1 Peter 1:3 (NIV)
Peter bursts into praise: praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through resurrection. Living hope — no optimism, no positive thinking, but new life birthed by mercy, sealed by resurrection. Dead men resurrect hopes; living pessimists bury them. Ours was born in empty tombs.
Overcoming feeds on such hope. Peter wrote to persecuted, scattered sufferers — calling them reborn into living hope. Dead circumstances never kill twice-born souls: incorruptible inheritance kept in heaven, faith shielded by God's power. Problems are sceneries; resurrection is script. Whoever believes scripts crosses sceneries undistracted.
Live resurrected today: facing diagnoses, debts, grief with living hope. Living hope: twice-born never quit — resurrecting every morning.
Empty tombs breed full hearts. Visiting yours gratefully today. Empty tombs speak louder than loud crises. Hear resurrection voices above noise today. Living hope walks, works, sings even in valleys. Rise each morning with Christ anew. Visit tombs gratefully and leave encouraged. Share hope and multiply courage. Testify boldly and encourage many. Live resurrected daily.
And telling someone: living hope multiplies when witnessed.
