The Kingdom Among You
Nor will people say, Here it is, or There it is, because the kingdom of God is within you.
Luke 17:21 (NIV)
Jesus corrects the curious: none will say here or there, for God's Kingdom stands among you. Love dismantling maps. Pharisees asked dates and places; Jesus pointed at people. Kingdoms are no GPS but presence. Whoever seeks sky signs misses the facing King. Raised eyes miss near targets.
Among you: the King amid them unperceived. Incarnate love circulated anonymously. Kingdoms present in person, never programs. Jesus was the among — God with them. Today's among continues: where two gather, where paupers are served, where bread breaks. Seeking far what stands near is spiritual myopia.
Neither here nor there: Kingdoms escape geographic fences and calendars. Love never schedules nor locates. Shows promise here; Jesus promises among. False christs sell coordinates; the True inhabits hearts. Discernment: every crossless Kingdom map is a hole. Kingdoms are entered, never visited.
Today, find Kingdoms among: in difficult brothers, simple services, secret prayers. Stop hunting signs starting serving saints. Serving love enters; hunting curiosity loses. Today's among — home, work, church — hides the King sought in clouds.
And live the among: near Kingdoms transform presents. Live the among today. Near Kingdoms transform. Serve saints. Seek near. Find King.
