On the Watchtower

· Topic: peace

I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint.

Habakkuk 2:1 (NIV)

Habakkuk decides: I will stand at my watch, station myself on ramparts; I will look for what He tells me and what answer to my complaint. Peace awaiting answers in position. Perplexed prophets become patient sentinels. Complaints carried to towers return as visions. God answers whoever waits high. Prayer walls receive heaven's dispatches.

I will look to see: waiting watching, never sleeping. Sentinels work open-eyed. Watchful peace combines rest with attention. Habakkuk rested complaints awakening eyes. Divine answers reach occupied posts, never beds. Stay posted until trumpets: sleeping watchmen miss dawns.

What answer to my complaint: the prophet expected reply and rebuke. Peace accepting correction with comfort. God would answer showing Chaldeans then judging them. Honest complaints receive whole theologies. Carry perplexity to towers; it descends as doctrine. God never fears questions, only quittings.

Today, climb your tower: place, hour, waiting posture. Present complaints in writing awaiting reading. Sentinel peace: calm hearts, attentive eyes. Answers come — perhaps correction, perhaps comfort, always presence. Waiting towers never lack visits.

And wait on towers: patient sentinels receive answers. Wait on towers today. Patient sentinels receive. Watch nightly. Stay posted. Look up. Listen hard. Hope on.
