Save Me from Lions

Or they will tear me like a lion and rip me to pieces with no one to rescue me.

Psalms 7:2 (NIV)

David fears being torn like lions, ripped with no rescuer. Love requesting deliverance from predators. Sharp-toothed enemies ringed the anointed. Slanders bite like jaws. David knew Saul's roar and Shimei's. Whoever was ever hunted knows praying against lions.

Lest they tear me: the lest reveals request purpose. David sought no revenge but preservation. Love wants living, never killing. Persecuted prayers aim deliverance, never retaliation. God frees for witnessing, never boasting. Survivors tell stories avengers silence.

With no one to rescue: David confesses human loneliness appealing the only Deliverer. Divine love fills earthly-help voids. Friends flee lions; God faces them. When nobody can, Somebody wills. Arena loneliness becomes miracle arenas. Lions ring for God shining. Larger packs, larger deliverances.

Today, name your lions: people, debts, diseases, lawsuits. Declare the verse aloud over each. Love delivering from lions yesterday delivers today. Never bargain with predators nor pay fear ransoms. Your Shepherd carries staffs and slings. Hungry lions fast before Him.

And cry against lions: pack-delivered ones sing psalms. Cry against lions today. Pack-delivered sing. Name predators. Fear none. Trust Shepherd. Trust Shepherd fully. Declare verses. Stand firm. Roar back. Sing loud. Prevail. Shout joy.
