Taught with Love
The Levites — Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan and Pelaiah — instructed the people in the Law while the people were standing there.
Nehemiah 8:7 (NIV)
Thirteen Levites instructed the people in the Law while everyone stood. Love teaching never dismisses; it accompanies. Ezra read, Levites explained, people stayed. Revival owns pedagogy: clear reading, patient explanation, collective attention. Love bears repeated questions without sighing. Teaching is loving with blackboard and chalk.
Everyone remained there: reverence and hunger posture. People standing for hours, hearing ancient law with new hearts. Love for the Word sustains tired bodies. Whoever loves learning stays; whoever loves teaching explains. Meeting hungers produces feasts: that day ended in joy and shared portions. Teaching with love ends at tables.
Instructed the people in the Law: translation and application. Levites made people understand, never merely hear. Love explains until clear: read again, illustrate, apply, confirm. Teachers loving never flaunt knowledge; they remove ignorance. Every clarified doubt frees one captive. Teaching liberates with letters.
Today, teach someone lovingly: explain the Word to new converts, children, neighbors. Descend to levels without lowering standards. And learn lovingly: stand before the Word, ask shamelessly, practice promptly. Love's teachers and pupils build celebrating churches.
And teach loving: explaining love builds forever. Teach lovingly today. Explaining love builds. Learn humbly. Build up.
