True Word
The word of the Lord came to me:
Ezekiel 13:1 (NIV)
The word of the Lord came to Ezekiel against prophets speaking on their own account. Gratitude for true words is born from disgust with false ones. When voices sell dreams, God's voice becomes treasure. Bread is valued in times of stones. Hired prophets impoverish; faithful words enrich souls deeply.
The false followed their own spirit, having seen nothing. They preached peace while God announced war. Gratitude trains us to discern menus: not every anointed message descends from heaven. Testing spirits is a full table's duty. Whoever thanks God for truth learns to sniff lies with growing speed.
Ezekiel received the word before delivering it. Gratitude for revelation breeds responsibility for transmission. Received truth hidden turns sour; shared, it feeds multitudes. The faithful prophet is a mailman, never the owner: deliver intact, never editing the Sender. Faithful delivery honors the Source.
Today, thank God for the true word you hold: open Bible, faithful preachers, confirming Spirit. And become yourself God's true word to someone. Speak what He said, silence what He never said. Gratitude and faithfulness walk hand in hand always.
And keep the word: grateful mouths repeat heaven without inventing.
