No One Shall Be Sold
Anyone who kidnaps another must be put to death.
Exodus 21:16 (NIV)
Law shielded freedom with maximum penalties: kidnappers selling people must die. Kidnapping and trafficking — crimes against God's image in humans — drew severest punishment. God takes freedom seriously: people are no merchandise, not for debts, wars, or pleasures. Every life carries innocent-blood prices.
Joy of freed people celebrates shielding laws. Modern trafficking surrounds us — slave labor, sexual exploitation, will-hijacking addictions. God keeps executing sentences against oppressors, freeing captives through righteous people. Rejoicing in freedom includes fighting for liberations: denouncing, sheltering, restoring. Freed people free others.
Celebrating your freedom, fighting for others' today: praying for victims, backing serious projects, watching vulnerable ones. No one shall be sold: declaring it over homes and cities.
Guarded freedoms breed shared joys. Shielding someone today. Freed people shield future captives. Freed captives become bold liberators eventually. Share your freedom story loudly. Testimonies break others' chains powerfully. Speak and liberate continually. Liberate continually with compassion. Denounce traffickers, shelter victims, celebrate freed. Free people generate free people always. Fight trafficking. Modern chains hide in plain sight daily. Recognize bondage around you. Intervene bravely and persistently.
And fleeing subtle kidnappers: vices sell free people for cheap pleasures.
