Against the Arrogant

· Topic: leadership

In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak.

Psalms 10:2 (NIV)

David exposes oppression's mechanics: in arrogance the wicked hunt the weak, caught in devised schemes. Arrogance above, nets below: the poor fall into schemes they never made, debts they never grasp, systems crushing them. God watches every scheme — the whole psalm prosecutes the arrogant. Oppressors weave nets; God cuts threads.

Leaders defend the net-caught. Where arrogance hunts, justice shields: advocating voiceless, hiring vulnerable, exposing schemes. David the king wielded thrones as poor people's shields — God called him a man after His heart. Leadership ignoring the poor administers for arrogance; defending them governs for God. The right side, always, stands with the caught.

Cut one scheme today: paying fairly, hiring vulnerably, exposing fraud, visiting forgotten. Against the arrogant: standing with the poor gains God as ally.

The wicked's nets snare feet; God's hands free captives. Extending yours today. Cut nets free real captives daily. Sever one today with concrete action and prayer. Oppressors fall while defenders rise steadily. Stand with the poor courageously. God allies with righteous defenders always. Extend hands today and free someone. Intercede daily and confront boldly. Defend the caught and shame oppressors.

And praying for the hunted: intercession also confronts arrogance.
