The Great City
The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.
Revelation 17:18 (NIV)
The angel decodes the mystery for John: the woman you saw is the great city ruling over earth's kings. Babylon — power, luxury, seduction, oppression. She reigns, but reigns on deadline: chapters later, she falls in one hour. All exploitation-founded power carries expiry dates; it just doesn't know. The great city impresses pilgrims, deceives residents — until collapsing.
Leaders learn by contrast. Babylon leads by domination: controlling, seducing, crushing; Christ leads by donation: serving, giving, saving. Two models, two destinies: cities fall, Lambs reign. All leadership daily chooses which city it represents — people-using or people-serving. Power without love is Babylon renamed; cross-shaped influence is Kingdom addressed.
Choose your model today: serving over dominating, releasing over retaining, washing feet over demanding crowns. The great city falls in one hour; the humble Kingdom lasts forever. Lead like the Lamb, reigning with him.
Domination impresses temporaries; donation crowns eternals. Decide today. Models matter more than moments in leadership. Choose Lamb-methods daily: serve instead of seizing, release instead of retaining, wash feet instead of demanding crowns. Domination expires hourly; donation endures eternally. Decide for the Kingdom that never falls. Lead like the Lamb today and reign with him forever.
