In order that God's purpose in election might stand.

Romans 9:11 (NIV)

Paul unveils a merit-humbling mystery: before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad — in order that God's purpose in election might stand. Jacob chosen before first cries, first rights or wrongs. God consults no résumés, no heavenly waitlists: electing by purpose, sustaining by grace. Merit arrives late where election already decided.

Serving in that light changes everything. We serve not to get chosen; we serve because chosen. Motivation drops from performance to gratitude: volunteer work fearing no review, generosity calculating no return, faithfulness seeking no promotion spotlight. Whoever serves to deserve tires; whoever serves from reception rests while serving. Election breeds no laziness — it frees love-driven service.

Serve as elect today: picking one invisible task, executing excellently. Before births, God had decided — before dawn, he prepared your good works. Rest in purpose, labor joyfully.

The elect serve differently: fearless, maskless, measureless. Be elect today. Performance exhausts; election rests while working. Choose hidden excellence today without courting applause. Heaven prepared your works before dawn; walk in them joyfully. Serve gratefully, give freely, love fully. Elected hearts labor lightly always. Rest in purpose and labor with joy today.
