Do Not Fear Assyria

· Topic: gratitude

O my people who live in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrians.

Isaiah 10:24 (NIV)

Judah trembled before Assyria — brutal army, imminent siege, dreadful news. And God sends word: O my people who live in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrians. Notice the address: “my people.” Before command comes belonging. God never says “be brave” into voids; he says “you are mine” — whence courage flows. Identity before orders, always.

Gratitude blooms after deliverance, but trust blooms before. God promises Assyria's rod has expiry: he himself will break it right on time. Our “Assyrias” wear current names — crisis, sickness, threats, lawsuits — and the same promise stands: fear not, my people. Fear eyes the rod; faith eyes the hand limiting the rod. Rods have size; God has none.

Name your Assyria today and hear the order: fear not. Thank in advance for coming deliverance — prophetic gratitude, celebrating pre-sight. Do not fear Assyria: rods snap, people remain, God reigns. Rods expire; the Reigner remains. Name your Assyria aloud, then shrink it beside God's size today. Thank him pre-deliverance with prophetic confidence. Fear dissolves where belonging settles. You are his; therefore stand calm while rods snap around you. Celebrate coming victory before battle ends.
