I will do whatever you say.

Ruth 3:5 (NIV)

Naomi lays a bold plan for Ruth's future — bath, perfume, threshing floor at night, Boaz. And the Moabitess answers without arguing: I will do whatever you say. In a culture where daughters-in-law could challenge mothers-in-law, and foreigners could scorn local counsel, Ruth chose obedience. Bitter, empty Naomi's hope starts rebirthing right there: in the simple obedience of one who trusts.

Hope and obedience walk hand in hand more often than we imagine. Naomi had nothing to offer — no husband, no sons, no future — only a plan born of wisdom and love. Ruth understood little but did everything. How many restorations begin this way: godly counsel obeyed without grasping, a step taken in darkness because someone faithful pointed the way. God hides deliverances inside small obediences.

Heed your Naomis today: the godly mother's counsel, the faithful friend's warning, the prodding Word. Do not debate every detail before obeying — do all faithful wisdom tells you, and watch God work on the threshing floor. Hope rebirths where obedience blooms; and it bloomed in Bethlehem, abundantly. Obedience unlocks storehouses that arguments never open. Do today everything faithful wisdom says, fully and promptly. Bethlehem still rewards the obedient with harvests beyond expectation.
