Hezekiah Succeeds Ahaz

· Topic: love

Ahaz rested with his fathers and was buried with them in the City of David. And Hezekiah his son succeeded him as king.

2 Kings 16:20 (NIV)

Ahaz rested with fathers, buried in David's city; his son Hezekiah succeeded him. Love recording transitions hopefully. Idolatrous Ahaz exited scenes; reforming Hezekiah entered. Generations alternate; God remains. Burials close chapters, successions open revivals. Evil ends never cancel good beginnings.

Rested with fathers: pious euphemisms for wicked reigns. Love narrates unhating. Scripture buries Ahaz uncelebrating uncursing. History walks: kings pass, purposes stay. Judging dead belongs to God; learning from them, to us. Ahaz teaches inside-out what Hezekiah would do rightly.

Hezekiah succeeded: hope owns names and filiations. Sons of evil fathers can be good kings. Love breeds restarts in broken lineages. Blood never determines destinies; choices do. Hezekiah inherited contaminated thrones purifying them. Your genealogy never imprisons; decisions free.

Today, succeed your predecessors well: honor good, fix evil, surpass both. Reforming love cleans inherited temples. And prepare better successors than you: disciples, children, led ones. Generations win in legacies. Today's reign writes tomorrow's revival.

And succeed reforming: holy transitions breed revivals. Succeed reforming today. Holy transitions breed. Honor good. Fix evil. Raise sons. Raise sons and train heirs. Build altars. Tear idols. Reform. Renew. Renew minds and cleanse temples. Purge dross. Crown truth.
