Draw Near

· Topic: purpose

Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

James 4:8 (NIV)

James promises conditionally: come near to God, He will come near to you! Nearness’ purpose is guaranteed meeting. Distance shortens from our side first. God answers steps with embraces. Human approach pulls divine approach. Heaven moves toward movers. Draw near daily and dwell deeply.

Sinners, wash hands: nearness calls for hygiene. Dirty hands hold distances. Washing confesses dropping. Cleansing’s purpose is barrierless contact. Holy God receives washed sinners, never disguised. Confession’s water runs before embraces. Clean hands touch skies. Wash hands often and pray always.

You double-minded, purify hearts: double cleansing for double faces. Double minds attempt two masters. Purifying hearts chooses one throne. Wholeness’ purpose is intimacy. Divided hearts keep distances; whole ones shorten. God nears whole people, never theatrical. Choose one Master gladly.

And draw truly near: drop hand sins and heart divisions. Take concrete steps: pray, fast, forgive, gather. Every step’s purpose is meeting. He will draw near — promises with exclamations. Today’s nearness becomes tomorrow’s dwelling. Steps taken attract embraces. Walk forward boldly.

And draw near now: taken steps attract embraces. Come running today. Heaven hurries toward movers. Arrive rejoicing. Shout grace. Sing glory. March home.
