Thanks in Everything
give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Paul closes the year with a simple order: give thanks in all circumstances. Not for all — in all. Gratitude independent of scenery. Leap years gain an extra day; extra thanks fit inside it. Day 366 is the calendar's bonus and heaven's invitation.
For this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Explicit will needs no divination. Many hunt God's will in mysteries while it stands printed in verses. Gratitude is no suggestion but direction. Whoever thanks in everything hits the central target.
Take stock gratefully: count gifts before counting goals. Health, bread, family, pardon, promises. Hard years also grow long lists for grateful eyes. Ingratitude adds lacks; gratitude multiplies gifts. Close the year in heaven's blue, never in complaint's red.
In Christ Jesus: the sphere where thanks bloom even in pain. Outside Him circumstances rule; in Him wills reign. Union with Christ turns prisons into temples and darkness into eves. Thank from position, never condition. Children thank even when disciplined.
And thank in everything: extra days call for extra thanks. Thank in everything today. Extra days call. Close years grateful. Count gifts. Sing praise. Rejoice much. End strong. Finish well.
