Open Door
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
Revelation 3:8 (NIV)
Jesus introduces Himself to Philadelphia with a gift: I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. Gratitude for doors God opens. Human keys jam; divine doors hold no lock against enemies. God's opportunities need no permission from men.
The detail moves: I know that you have little strength. Jesus opens doors for the weak, never only the strong. Philadelphia held no army nor influence, only faithfulness. Little strength with a kept word outweighs great strength with a denied name. God measures churches by faithfulness, never by size. Faithful weakness attracts open doors.
Yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name: gratitude owns a record. Philadelphia thanked by obeying. Keeping the Word under pressure and confessing the Name under risk open eternal doors. Doors open for whoever never trades truth. Small faithfulness, great reward always.
Today, walk through the door gratefully. Which opportunity has God set before you? Mission, reconciliation, ministry, restart. Enter without asking fear's leave. Doors Jesus opens close for no men, crises, or devils. Cross over thanking Him.
And cross grateful: open doors are crossed on thankful knees. Cross today.
