Have You Seen the Beloved?
Have you seen the one my heart loves?
Song of Solomon 3:3 (NIV)
The bride asks night watchmen: have you seen the one my heart loves? Nightly searches, direct questions, declared loves. Watchmen guard cities; she guards longing. Lovers ask shamelessly: seen the Beloved? Confessed searches find more than disguised ones.
Seeking obedience finds. God promises: seeking, you will find Me when seeking wholeheartedly. Watchmen — pastors, books, services — point but never replace meetings. Asking obeys seeking commandments; ceasing to ask contents itself without finding. Brides ask; settled sleepers sleep.
Asking like brides today: of pastors, Scriptures, in prayers — seen the Beloved? Have you seen the Beloved?: askers find, finders worship.
Nightly searches end in morning embraces. Asking today, finding.
And once finding, holding: found loves celebrate, never hide. Hold fast today and always. Sincere questions find right answers always. Ask today shamelessly, directly. Watchmen point; God appears personally. Keep asking till embracing. Morning embraces compensate searching nights. Persist today, dawn embraced. Dawn seekers find risen Sons gladly. Rise early today expectantly. Night questions dissolve at sunrise. Ask till answers come. Persistent askers receive morning hugs. Keep knocking nightly. Seek dawns. Dawn seekers find risen Sons always. Rise expectantly and rejoice.
