Shared Sufferings
Because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same sufferings.
1 Peter 5:9 (NIV)
Peter consoles persecuted ones with global solidarity: resist firm in faith, knowing worldwide brothers undergo identical sufferings. Suffering solo depresses; suffering accompanied strengthens. Persecuted churches are never isolated churches — global families under shared fire. Your sufferings hold twin siblings across continents.
Solidary rest lightens individual weights. Knowing others resist encourages resisting: if they endure, I endure. Peter promises no instant relief but universal company — and company is half relief. Resisting firmly, together though distant: crossed prayers sustain persecuted churches. Nobody bleeds solo in Christ's body.
Resisting, knowingly accompanied, today: praying for persecuted, thanking steadfast, remaining for comers. Shared sufferings: lighter divided, worthier united.
Suffering solidarity breeds collective perseverance. Joining currents today. Prayer chains link suffering continents daily. Join worldwide currents today. Pray distant names and feel nearness. Solidarity transcends time zones. United sufferers resist multiplied always. Stand with distant steadfast ones. Nobody bleeds alone in bodies. Share burdens across borders daily. Bear together always. Global family groans harmoniously toward glory. Listen for distant cries compassionately. Respond with intercession immediately. Love knows no latitudes.
And once comforted, comforting: healed sufferers heal sufferers. Stand together, suffer less and hope more.
