Only You Bring Rain
It is you, O Lord our God. Therefore our hope is in you.
Jeremiah 14:22 (NIV)
Amid drought, Jeremiah prays razor-sharp theology: do worthless national idols bring rain? Do skies themselves send showers? No, it is you, O Lord our God. Droughts expose idols: Baal, storm-god, silent; skies, empty. Crises reveal trust addresses — redirecting toward the only Rain-Sender.
Drought overcoming starts confessing impotence. Our droughts wear modern names — bills, health, arid relationships — our Baals elegant disguises: self-effort, contacts, techniques. Until admitting only He brings rain, we water deserts with pierced buckets. Well-placed hope attracts clouds; misplaced hope evaporates. Only You: two words opening shut heavens.
Confessing your drought and Baal today: naming aridity, abandoning idols, awaiting rain. Only You bring rain: hope in Him never returns empty.
Divine rains keep appointments. Awaiting today, watering through prayer. Keep waiting, digging, praying and trusting daily. Droughts expose true water sources mercilessly. Dig deeper today through prayer and Scripture. Rains come for waiting diggers. Clouds gather over bended knees. Idols promise showers, deliver dust always. Abandon Baals categorically today. One true Sender controls skies solely. Hope rightly placed never evaporates ever. Wait digging faithfully. Rain comes.
And when rains fall, remembering Senders: gratitude irrigates coming droughts.
