Truth That Remains
The truth, which lives in us and will be with us forever.
2 John 1:2 (NIV)
John greets the elect with uncrumbling foundations: because of the truth living in us, remaining with us forever. Abiding truth — never visiting, dwelling; never passing, staying. Opinions shift seasonally, feelings shift under pressure, fashions shift from boredom; truth abides in us, beside us, forever. Double anchorage: inside and alongside, today and always.
Overcoming anchors in permanence. Storms topple opinion tents, never truth houses. Anchoring emotions in truth crosses crises unshipwrecked; anchoring truth in emotions sinks in calm seas. Abiding in Scripture amid change is no stubbornness but spiritual engineering. Centuries-tested truth sustains seconds-long pressures.
Checking anchors today: what abides with you — verses or hunches? Truth that remains: returning today, staying put.
Eternal anchors hold temporal boats. Casting yours into truth today. Stand firm today. Fashions fade; truths stand forever firmly. Anchor today in changeless realities. Opinions rent rooms; truths own eternal houses. Dwell in Scripture permanently. Tested truth sustains momentary pressures easily. Lean on ancient anchors daily. Eternity backs every promise fully. Stand unshaken always and everywhere. Abide forevermore. Permanence rewards patient abiders richly. Stay put purposefully. Truth keeps keepers safely.
And abiding tomorrow too: abiding is crossers' secret.
