Too Old?

Abraham and Sarah were already old and well advanced in years.

Genesis 18:11 (NIV)

The narrator records unadorned: Abraham and Sarah were already old and well advanced in years, and Sarah was past childbearing age. Biological full stop, medical certificate, closed case. And right there — in human “too late” — God schedules a visit promising a son. Heaven specializes in geriatric impossibles: Isaac would be born to retired parents proving promises carry no expiry dates.

Families nursing aged dreams need that visit. The child who never returns, the marriage never healing, the calling never blooming — years pass, and “too late” sounds pious. But Sarah laughed yet conceived; God's promises never age alongside us. Too old for men is never too old for God. The right question is never “is there still time?” but “did God promise?”

Revisit your retired dream today: present it to God again, cynicism-free, hurry-free. Repitch hope's tent — awaiting the visit. Too old? For the God visiting tents at noon, age is a mere report detail. Retired dreams still qualify for divine visits. Present yours again — cynicism off, hurry off. Pitch hope's tent toward heaven and watch noon bring guests. Age reports mean nothing to promise-keepers. Believe again today; conception follows faith, not calendars.
