Sanctified by Union
The unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife.
1 Corinthians 7:14 (NIV)
Paul reveals a beautiful mystery about divided homes: the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife through her believing husband. This holiness is no personal merit transferred like points — it is overflowing grace's influence. One believer's faithful presence sanctifies the whole atmosphere: house, table, even children, who “are holy.” God uses union to reach whoever still disbelieves.
This turns marital forgiveness into ministry. Each time you forgive instead of retaliating, pray instead of accusing, love instead of billing, you sanctify your home from within. The unbelieving spouse may never read the Bible you offer, but reads daily the life you live. Sanctification by union happens quietly: at breakfast, in paid bills, in open doors.
Bless your house with faithful presence today: forgive fast, serve without sermons, pray in secret for your own. And if you are the unbeliever reading this — know you are loved and the door stands open. Sanctified by union: God usually saves whole families starting with one forgiving heart. Silent witness preaches loudest at home. Love without lectures, serve without sermons, pray without ceasing daily. God still saves whole households through one faithful presence.
