Praise in the Great Assembly

Before those who fear you will I fulfill my vows.

Psalms 22:25 (NIV)

In the same psalm that opens with the cry “My God, why have you forsaken me?”, David declares: from you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly; before those who fear you will I fulfill my vows. Pain did not silence him — it became repertoire. David resolved that coming deliverance would be sung in public, before all. Faith that suffers in secret and thanks in public.

Christian relationships need this communal dimension: fulfilling vows “before those who fear you.” Testifying before the brothers, singing with the assembly, telling deliverance aloud. Some victories complete only when shared — testimony seals blessing and kindles the hearer's faith. Keeping everything to yourself impoverishes all; celebrating together multiplies.

Carry your praise into the assembly today: tell the small group, the friends, the dinner table what God did for you. And fulfill in public the vows made in secret — the promise, the offering, the reconciliation. Your praise theme comes from him; your praise stage stands amid the people. Entire assemblies have been revived by a single courageous testimony told aloud. Bring yours into the open today and let it kindle someone else's faith.
