He who has the Son has life.

1 John 5:12 (NIV)

John packs the entire Gospel into a sentence that fits on a note card: he who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. No detours, no fine print. Eternal life is not a prize for stacking up points, nor a mystery for insiders — it is a Person. To have life is to have Christ; and to have Christ is to be loved to the very end.

No one is too close to stop needing grace, and no one is too far to receive it.

If your heart swings today between self-sufficiency and guilt, come back to this simple sentence. God's love for you is not measured by your performance this week but by the presence of the Son in your life. And whoever has the Son has everything needed to start over today: forgiveness for the past, company for the present, and hope for the future.
