Care for Yours

· Topic: faith

If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

1 Timothy 5:8 (NIV)

Paul sentences: whoever never cares for relatives, especially households, denied faith and is worse than unbelievers. Faith measured in pantries. Domestic provision is practical theology. Believers sustaining strangers abandoning parents preach with mouths denying with wallets. Provisionless faith is unproven proclamation.

Denied the faith: strong verbs for domestic neglect. Denied faith not only by heresy but omission. Worse than unbelievers: unbelievers care for theirs instinctively; omitting believers lose even to them. Families' purpose is first mission fields. Missions begin at tables, never airports. Home failures disqualify abroad.

Especially immediate families: responsibility circles. First households, then near ones, then distant. Faith organizes priorities: roofs, tables, schools, medicines. External generosity without internal provision is vanity. God counts domestic coins before public offerings. Providing worships with wallets.

Today, audit your provision: assisted parents? supplied children? honored spouses? Providing faith preaches wordlessly. Your family is your first church and pulpit. Care for yours and worlds will believe your God. Pantries full of love evangelize neighborhoods.

And provide believing: provided houses proclaim Christs. Provide believing today. Provided houses proclaim. Stock pantries. Feed family. Honor spouse. Honor spouse and raise children. Pay bills. Save wisely. Give more. Share much.
