House to Rebuild

· Topic: purpose

This is what the Lord Almighty says: These people say, The time has not yet come for the Lord’s house to be built.

Haggai 1:2 (NIV)

People said: the time has not yet come rebuilding the Lord's house. The book's purpose unmasks delays. Spiritualized excuses hid comfort: luxurious houses for them, ruins for God. Inverted priorities breed pierced pockets. God called it waking time. Pious postponement is polished disobedience.

These people say: God quotes excuses before refuting. Confrontation's purpose awakens, never crushes. Haggai exposed incoherence: dwelling well while God dwells in ruins. Prophetic confrontations hurt healing. Lukewarm churches need courageous Haggais. Truth spoken lovingly rebuilds.

The time has not yet come: delayers' never. Reasons always exist for waiting: crisis, climate, weariness. Urgency's purpose is today. Negligents' tomorrow never dawns. God answered: climb mountains, fetch timber, rebuild. Clear orders dissipate fogs. Obedience owns calendars: now.

Today, identify your house to rebuild: devotions, ministries, character, family. Stop dating later what God dated now. Today's purpose is bricks. Climb mountains, fetch timber, rebuild. Built houses of God breed blessed human houses.

And rebuild today: God's houses attract blessings. Rebuild today gladly. God's houses attract. Fetch timber. Climb mounts. Lay bricks. Lay bricks and raise walls. Work daily. Finish strong. Persist. Continue. Continue building and never pause. Sweat gladly. Sing working.
