Saul's Silence

· Topic: purpose

But some troublemakers said, How can this fellow save us? They despised him and brought him no gifts. But Saul kept silent.

1 Samuel 10:27 (NIV)

Worthless men scorned the new king: how can this fellow save us? No gifts, only sneers. But Saul kept silent. Silence's purpose in scorn hours. Freshly anointed, Saul swallowed insults unretaliating. Silencing before worthless men is reigning before thrones. Hasty answers spoil recent anointings. Silence shields beginnings.

But some troublemakers: human buts always oppose divine choices. God anoints, worthless question. Initial opposition's purpose tests anointed ones. Saul passed tests silencing. Whoever justifies to worthless descends to their level. Kings' heights measure in silences, never speeches.

They despised him bringing no gifts: denied honor, approved patience. Honor scarcity's purpose firms character. Gifts would follow victories. Saul never charged what time would pay. Awaiting honors undemanding is royal maturity. God honors whoever never self-promotes.

Today, silence before your worthless: criticisms, mockeries, scorns. Your silence's purpose guards anointing. Answering every question spends oil. Let victories speak. Today's silence becomes tomorrow's testimony. God-silenced ones, God-exalted ones.

And silence anointed: guarded silences become thrones. Silence anointed today. Guarded silences guard. Swallow scorns. Stay quiet. Wait well. Wait well and reign later. Bide time. Trust God. Mature. Grow. Grow in grace silently. Learn patience. Keep oil. Endure. Abide.
