No Staff nor Bag

· Topic: peace

He told them: Take nothing for the journey — no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra tunic.

Luke 9:3 (NIV)

Jesus sent the twelve: take nothing for journeys — no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra tunic. Peace of empty hands and full hearts. Mission banning baggage. God equips emptying before sending. Empty pockets, full authority. Provisions follow obedience, never precede.

No staff: no visible human support. No bag: no security reserve. No bread, no money: no guaranteed sustenance. No extra tunic: no plan B. Peace traveling light trusts the road's Host. Every list no is a providence yes. Stripping dresses faith. Lightness speeds missions.

For the journey: provision comes walking, never before leaving. Peace houses, open hearts, set tables await obedient missionaries. Going peace finds; calculating loses. Jesus promised workers dignity: sustenance accompanies service. Going with nothing carries everything: authority, power, presence.

Today, travel light: release control staffs, security bags, anxiety pantries. Carry only orders and promises. Stripped missionaries' peace attracts heaven's hospitality. Today's road holds marked peace houses. Knock, enter, announce, heal.

And go light: stripped missionaries carry authority. Go light today. Stripped missionaries carry. Release baggage. Drop fears. Trust Host. Trust Host completely. Walk far. Knock boldly. Enter homes. Heal sick. Announce Kingdom. Rejoice. Give thanks.
