Libni and Shimei

· Topic: obedience

The sons of Gershon were Libni and Shimei.

Exodus 6:17 (NIV)

Genesis records with genealogical sobriety: Gershon's sons, by clans, were Libni and Shimei. Obscure names, essential roles: Levites staffing tabernacles. Sans recorded deeds, sans told stories — only listed faithfulness. God notes anonymous Levites as carefully as patriarchs.

Anonymous obedience sustains visible works. Tabernacles rise on nameless shoulders: assemblers, carriers, guards. Libni and Shimei never preached crowds, but cults halted without them. Obeying anonymously worships sans audiences — and God, seeing secretly, rewards publicly in eternity.

Serving as anonymous Levites today: keeping schedules, carrying shares, guarding posts. Libni and Shimei: listed faithfulness outweighs chased fame.

Faithful anonymous sustain eternal works. Serving today unsigned. Unsigned workers outlast signed celebrities. Labor today seeking no credits. Heavens record hidden efforts. God sees, rewarding faithfully. Eternal rewards surpass temporal applause. Preferring first ones always. And God notes: celestial books record forgotten earthly services. Serve hidden today. Heaven's rolls welcome newcomers. Invite warmly, register gladly. New names thrill angels. Rejoice over returnees loudly. Seek lost sheep daily. Shepherds search till found. Celebrate recoveries loudly. Lost found thrill heaven. Persist searching always. Never abandon strays. Pursue lovingly evermore. Leave ninety-nine gladly. Seek one lost sheep. Carry home rejoicing. Heaven parties over returns.
