Like Jannes and Jambres

· Topic: generosity

Men of depraved minds, who are rejected.

2 Timothy 3:8 (NIV)

Paul names archetypal opponents: as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, these resist truth — depraved minds, faith-rejected. Jannes and Jambres — Pharaoh's magicians mimicking miracles to limits. Imitation has ceilings: rods turned serpents, but gnats nobody mimicked. Truth outruns imitation always — merely time questions.

Generosity with truth unmasks imitations. Last days bring powerful, smooth false teachers — resisting demands generous discernment: teaching truth sans fees, exposing errors sans hatred. Paul names names: generosity is no naïveté. Loving people, fighting errors walk together; loving only tolerates poison; fighting only wounds sheep.

Discerning imitations today: testing everything against Scriptures, suspecting power sans character. Like Jannes and Jambres: imitations fall before truth.

Tested truths topple rehearsed magic. Standing today with Moses. Stand true. Originals expose copies always. Sharpened discernment cuts subtle deceptions quickly. Sharpen yours today in Scriptures daily. Imitations tremble before originals. Abide in authentic always. Authentic always without negotiating compromises. Ancient truths defeat lying novelties. Test everything and retain good. Name errors courageously and lovingly. Stand firm. Moses-partisans outlast Pharaoh-magicians eternally. Choose sides wisely today. Truth wins marathons, lies sprints.

And teaching others discerning: generosity shares discernment, never merely bread.
