Do Not Move the Markers

Do not move your neighbor's boundary stone.

Deuteronomy 19:14 (NIV)

Moses safeguards inheritances with simple laws: never move neighbors' boundary stones, placed by ancestors in heritages. Stone markers marked inheritances, histories, rights. Nighttime moving meant geographical theft: stealing land stationary. God hates land-grabbing — ancient or modern, rural or digital.

Trust respects others' limits. God's markers include properties, marriages, consciences, reputations: invading means refined robbing. Provision-trusters never need expanding at neighbors' expense; God increases diminishing nobody. Land-grabbing springs from distrust — thinking God won't supply enough. Contentment guards markers; covetousness moves them nightly.

Respecting one marker today: paying fairly, acknowledging limits, honoring boundaries. Do not move the markers: God measures inheritances with eternal justice.

Respected markers breed peaceful neighbors. Living today within yours. Always respect others' boundaries daily, gladly, faithfully, joyfully today. Respected fences prevent neighboring wars always. Honor today limits never created. Contentment guards what coveting steals. Live within portions gratefully. Grateful portions satisfy more than stolen fields. Stay inside lines cheerfully. God enlarges without diminishing anyone. Trust provision completely today. Rest content. Land-grabbers reveal distrust openly. Refuse envy categorically today. Celebrate neighbors' harvests sincerely. Enough satisfies saints fully.

And defending weak from grabbers: just boundaries protect entire heritages.
