Lest You Stumble
Many of them will stumble; they will fall.
Isaiah 8:15 (NIV)
Isaiah warns about the Stone: many will stumble, fall, break, snare, capture. The same Stone sustaining crushes — depending on posture: believing or tripping. Christ, cornerstone for some, stumbling stone for others. Spiritual trips never happen accidentally: they happen through cultivated unbelief.
Safe rest watches steps vigilantly. People trip over pride, hurry, disguised disobedience — enemy-set snares on careless paths. Watching and praying remain inseparable pairs: vigilance spots snares, prayer sidesteps feet. God-walkers trip less because Someone holds hands.
Watching your steps today: where have you repeatedly tripped? Lest you stumble: walking slowly with God over running solo.
Watched steps prevent announced falls. Eyeing floors and heavens today. Watch carefully every single day. Watchful eyes avoid announced stumbles daily. Monitor steps and thoughts carefully today. Distant-seen snares lose total strength. Walk with God and tread firmly. Firm treading follows held hands closely. Never walk solo spiritually. Vigilance plus prayer equals protection. Nightly reviews prevent daily falls surely. Review nightly. Tripping histories need not repeat endlessly. Learn terrains and adjust paces. Grace lifts fallen walkers tenderly. Rise quickly every time.
And if you tripped, rising fast: God restores confessed stumbles promptly.
