They Will See His Face
Upright men will see his face.
Psalms 11:7 (NIV)
David closes psalms with spine-tingling promises: for the Lord is righteous, loving justice; upright men will see his face. Seeing God's face — Moses-desired, multitudes-avoided privilege. Upright will see: uprightness opens rooms sin shuts. Face-to-face with the Just frightens never the just; only fleers.
Trust blooms in such promises. The just fear no divine audits, living auditably: clean accounts, clear motives, straight paths. Seeing faces is destiny and diagnosis — the upright's destiny, the crooked's diagnosis. Wondering about your straightness? Ask whether you crave His face. God-hunger reveals soul direction: hungry seek Him, guilty avoid Him.
Straightening one crooked path today: confessing, returning, forgiving, aligning. They will see his face: living today craving such meetings.
Sought faces reveal themselves; avoided faces hide deeper. Seeking today. Seek constantly and daily with expectation. Sought faces reveal themselves generously. Seek today hungering sincerely. God-hunger attracts heavenly banquets. Satiated with presence reflect glory. Crooked paths straightened open throne rooms. Confess, return, forgive, align today. Straight living births bold seeing. Walk uprightly evermore and always. See his face soon. Long for appearing daily. Wait hopefully.
And walking straight tomorrow too: daily uprightness secures face-to-face eternity.
