Proverbs 10:18 (NIV)

Solomon unmasks two poisons in one line: he who conceals hatred has lying lips, and slander-spreaders are fools. Hatred made up as smiles, slander dressed as “concern” — well-dressed tongue sins. God scents both from afar: lips hiding hatred lie even praying; mouths spreading slander fool even counseling. Double tongues, divided hearts.

Leaders tolerating slander manage poison; confronting it purify atmospheres. Speaking well behind backs tests leadership few pass — yet all should.

Clean your mouth today: resolving one hoarded hatred through frank talks, refusing gossip via subject changes. No hidden hatred: truthful lips build what lying lips destroy.

Clean mouths lead cleanly. Washing yours today with confession and pardon. Purified mouths prophesy blessings, never poisons. Wash yours today with truth and grace. Speaking well builds bridges; speaking ill digs ditches. Choose bridges daily always. Bless slanderers and break curses at roots. Curse-breakers inherit peace doubly. Speak life over critics consistently. Speak life daily; reap peace eternally. Speak blessing always.

And blessing slanderers: blessing breaks curses at roots.
