Knowing to Grow
Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
2 Peter 1:2 (NIV)
Peter wishes persecuted churches something better than instant relief: grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. Notice heaven's math — grace and peace multiply, and the multiplier is knowledge. Not cold information but full, relational knowing: the more you know God, the more grace and peace fit inside you. Growing in God means growing in peace.
Humility enrolls eagerly in this school. Truly knowing God starts by admitting how little we know — continuing with daily hunger: reading, praying, listening, obeying. Much anxiety springs from ignorance: we fear the future because we scarcely know who holds it. The antidote is not controlling more but knowing more. Each fresh truth about God is another dose of peace in the bloodstream.
Re-enroll today: read one chapter slowly, note one discovery, obey one point. Trade fifteen scrolling minutes for fifteen knowing minutes — multiplication is guaranteed. Knowing to grow: whoever knows the Lord never stays the same size. Small knowledge, small peace; growing knowledge, multiplying peace. Hunger for God grows the more you feed it daily. Trade scrolling for Scripture and watch peace multiply. Fifteen minutes today changes everything tomorrow.
