Appeal to Caesar

· Topic: faith

I found he had done nothing deserving of death, but because he made his appeal to the Emperor I decided to send him to Rome.

Acts 25:25 (NIV)

Festus confesses: I found Paul did nothing death-deserving; but appealing to Emperors, I decided sending him to Rome. Faith using rights purposefully. Paul, Roman citizens, appealed to Caesar opening gospel roads to capitals. Earthly citizenship served heavenly missions. Exercised rights become roads.

Nothing death-deserving: innocence recognized by hostile courts. Upright faith embarrasses even Festuses. Paul lived publicly blamelessly. Clean testimony argues accusers cannot rebut. Live so investigations absolve you. Clean consciences use courts fearlessly.

But appealing: the appeal was missionary strategy, never escape. Paul wanted Rome, and God wanted Paul preaching in Rome. Faith turns trials into tickets. Chains became passports; courts, pulpits. God writes missionary itineraries with official stamps. Rome expected prisoners; it would receive apostles.

Today, use your rights purposefully: documents, laws, resources serving Kingdoms. And accept trials as tickets: doors closing here open Romes there. Heaven-citizen faith uses earthly citizenship. Today's appeal may be tomorrow's sending.

And appeal believing: used rights open Romes. Appeal believing today. Used rights open. Claim citizenship. Go preach. Sail on. Sail on and witness everywhere. Chains preach. Courts listen. Arrive. Testify. Testify boldly before kings. Speak truth. Fear none. Stand firm. Hold fast. Prevail.
